NCS summer 2019 was our biggest yet

We have had an incredibly busy summer this year with our NCS volunteer projects. This year we welcomed over 122 young people to Hull Homeless as part of their social action projects with Tigers Trust and Hymers College for NCS – National Citizen Service.

These amazing young people gave us an incredible 3,660 hours of volunteering over the course of eight weeks, supporting the adults, families, and children we work with. From transforming gardens, decorating new homes, supporting our summer breakfast club for children, raising awareness, collecting supplies, food and organising sponsored events to raise money to help us buy back to school items for children in low income or destitute households.

We absolutely love being part of the NCS programme each summer. Special thanks to Tigers Trust and Hymers college for having us along for the ride again this year.

Well done to the hundreds of young people who took part in NCS across the region this year.
